Elos, October 26th – 27th, 2019 – Although the chestnut harvest still has not really started, loads of people came to the village of Elos to celebrate this years Chestnut Festival. On the street were stalls that presented roasted chestnut and fresh apples, full tables at the tavernas and traditional dancers performing on live music. It was a great day! Compliments to the syllogos of Elos for organising the event.

On Saturday evening the festival started with a series of lectures chaired by Apostolis Kiritsakis about olives and chestnuts. Outside volunteers prepared some tasty dishes with chestnuts accompanied by some great musicians.
